Ok, this is what’s BUGGIN ME right noe. I can not seem to find even ONE person to go to the GhOSTHUNTERS meeting in Olive Hill with me Saturday night. It last from 7-10p.m. and I will drive but I don’t like being there at that time of the night alone. Anyone brave enough to stir the spirits with me? Let me know.

Speaking of FALSE ISP, etc. Is there anyway to get my neighbor’s kid to stop hacking into my computer? He has wireless internet and I knew someone was hacking into my computer but didn’t know who UNTIL the mother called and ask me to turn my internet back on so he could finish his homework! - I still have the message she left on my answering machine! Now every 5 minutes to an hour or so, I get kicked off line and a friend of mine who gets paid to solve computer problems says that the ISP provider ‘circulates’ every so often and since only 1 line is suppose to be on here, when it detects a second user, it kicks off the other one- namely ME! ???

You will have to get out the manual to set the encription to both your ?laptop? and the hub or desktop the your hub is connected too. There are several types of settings that can be changed to add restrictied connectivity.
If you see something that says allow ad hoc connections that has to be turned off. BUT the settings on your computer have to match for encriptions and passwords and such. Supposedly moste 802.11b can be hacked but you dont have a true “hacker” here. Watch for the PSA service announcements on TV, homeland security is running one that says 80% of wireless connections are OPEN “ad hoc” with no protections from “piggy backers” which is what you have not a hacker.
When/If you dont need the wireless turn it off. They will get out of the habit of connecting to you if it isnt’ always on. Use a network cable to the back of the wireless hub when near enuff and find out how to turn off the “radio”.
Unscrew the antenna and or replace with a smaller one to reduce the range are all further solutions to reduce the ability of a neighbor from hacking in. With a $100 2.4 GHz parabolic dish a common wireless hub (linksys etc) can be connected to up to 2 MILES away. Line of site. Wardrivers that look for these have documented this for years.

Hey I figgered out how to get around my moniker and email being blocked from login?!?!?
The first time and several times I tried to get a new accout it said that the email I tried had already been used but not by me? SO anyway here is the “TeckNomen” or any number of letter combos that would have to be blocked back from orwell’s memory hole?
OR is it, I could be an imposter or imitator or?
I aint gonna beg to be an “author”, enjoy the censorship might be the new motto. Other screen names may appear from time to time and you will always have to wunder is that “technomen”?!?!

There is no way someone could register with out hacking to prevent a email to be sent to the main email I use if they registered my moniker or any moniker to my email.

lol…man, i’m glad you think our little site is so important as to draw the attention of the “intelligence” community, but i suspect that something far less devious is at play here.
i’m trying to understand what it is you are even saying here.
the registration is not case sensitive, so trying to register TechKnomen AND techknomen AND TechkNomen would NOT work…the software system sees them all as the same name, so….which ever one gets registered first is the only one that will work. plus, when the system tells you that the user name is already taken, it doesn’t send an email to you…it only informs you that the user name is already taken, and that you should select another name.
so, i’m not sure what happened when you went to sign up, but apparently you were able to successfully do it, so what is the problem…really…
i promise you that i’m just as much a believer in the supernatural/conspiracies as anyone, but i have to tell you…you are really missing the boat on this one.
as for the old site, it went down today because (just like i WARNED everyone in advance) the server host switched to a new network and took the server offline. i told you it was coming…it wasn’t a secret…i even gave a link back to the old site so that everyone could continue grabbing their old information, and i let everyone know that i had NO idea how long it would stay live. it was totally out of my hands.
so i gave everyone, yourself included, PLENTY of time to get what you needed off of there, and i can’t help it if you didn’t take advantage of it. but..i can promise you it had NOTHING to do with trying to censor anything. if it did, why wouldn’t i have just deleted the damn thing in the first place? and why would i have done everything i could to keep a connection to the old server so that people could continue to get things?
your logic just doesn’t add up, man. you are giving the rest of us conspiracy folks a bad (or worse) name.

THE only way left (besides a hacker or “intellegence” plot) is that someone figgured out the password to my email, logged in and deleted the email with password ##### that the program sends
or my orignial email that I signed up with on the other site is BLOCKED.
NO name or variation of any login name I have tried is allowed as the message comes back the that email is already registered.
and no email is anywhere in any of my folders from this site.
I did not register any name to that email except the orignal “TechKnomen” back last october I think.
SO I used a couple of other emails that I rarely use to register and no problems, first time out of the shoot it worked.
That should be clear enuff to anyone that remebers the details of their registration.

Just to clear something up, hopefully without offending anyone…
Us non-authors cant view the ip or email address of comments.
Matter of fact we dont even have a “comment area” on the dashboard. All we see are simple rss feeds.
The only way we can write on here is by adding a comment, and the subject of our comment isnt visable from the front page. But like I said earlier, a member probably need only to ask for author permissions if they want to post on the front page.
From what I have been reading there is a default setting somewhere in the admin pannel that sets all new members as authors. But I’m happy just trying out the contributor status for now.

The cust. service may act like they dont know what you are talking about the terms are “Broadcast basic or Economy Basic cable to get that FCC package.
It was 12.99+tax&tax&install if any.
I have heard that some with this economy package have had billing hiccups which they suspect is an attempt to get them to take a higher priced package but??
If I could get cable I would consider a cheep sat package or FTA (look that up about 90 channels FREE TO AIR on a dish less than 40″ with a rotor motor to go between Galaxy10r and others. ALL the SkyAngel channels are free, no monthly fee. Dish setups are around $350 pluss a can of rainfade spray LOL?
With a Magnavox duel tuner vcr/dvd burner that has the OTA-(over the air SDTV digital tuner) and a ~70-$200 antenna and preamp with FM trap I can get upto 19free digital and around 15 analog channels somewhat reliably with only lightning a a conern. The TV’s with the second input for DTV will at a minimum get about 7 to 10 or 12 SDTV channels with just “rabbit ears” right now. TVQ36 DTV has a neat weather channel on their .2 subchannel. The QUBO cartoon channel on ION.2 repeats every 4 hours and I have noticed that Niagra special on PBS/Ket 2 and 4 or WVPBS about a dozen times. It’s a fun hobby if aggravating to the rest of the household figguring out which way you left the antenna pointed last night when watching a Cincinatti Station skip in. 12.2 and 5.2 are pretty good. This all changes after Feb.17 2009 as 27KYT in lex is on DTV RF 13 and WOWK 13 in Hunt. goes back to 13 then, same with WKRC 12 and hazard’s 57YMT on RF 12. We is in either High cotton or nutton because of co-channel interference on those channels in this area.
Once you scan in a channel to a DTV tuner/reciever with memory it pops in when the signal is there, but you have to know when to catch the skip just right I use a analog channel to tell me when to look for a DTV station as it might be scan-able when say WXIX19 is skipping in.

I attended Morehead Grade and Rowan County High school.
The church I attended is the Morehead First Church Of God,
before they moved it out by WalMart.
Brother Frank Fultz was the minister at the time.
We also have another friend in commom with the initials tc,
his (tc’s) dad drove the church bus back then.

Exactly WHAT is the problem that the dispatchers here in Rowan County won’t give out info to the tv news people that call? Once again with this fire at the Old Haldeman School, they would not provide any info. The producer called me and said as usual they got the run-a-round. This is not the first time by a long shot that they stated that Morehead Dispatchers are the only ones that they have trouble with. All the other 119 counties are helpful and pleasant to them but good old Morehead I have been told several times is quite rude to them to the point of telling them there is NOTHING going on and hanging up on them. Actually Kat, They have been trying to suppress the news for years. I would recommend that you ask a local ex-reporter about the police trying to censor the news, but I don’t think he’s on here.

Probabally not without appearing Islamic/Muslamic in our actions, even though I know that it wouldn’t be engaging in building worship. It does however appear at this point that your idea od standing in front of the the wrecking ball might be the only way to stop it now. It appears that it may have come the time to fight the madness with madness.
Folks, worshiping buildings isn’t my thing, so don’t shrug me off as being some kind of radical extremist. I am only reacting to our heritage being destroyed.
I will try to explain this.
Every little part of Morehead that my parents and grand parents were a part of, no matter how little a part they may have been of it, has either been distroyed or is marked for destruction. The places where we can take the children or grandchildren and show them where grandma, Or great grandma, grandpa, Or great grandpa, helped to build or were employed or even bought the family necessitys, either has been or will be distroyed. Even the places where my own children’s mommy and daddy first worked have been distroyed. Does anyone understand this? Or doesn’t anyone take the time to talk to their children and grandchildren anymore?
So are the officials a bunch of foreginers? Or are they ashamed of their heritage?
With all the distruction of our history and heritage taking place, I think I will start calling them “little Bin’s”

I’m sorry, but someone please tell me, what does it matter if the town of Morehead has a couple of Pagan shops in its limits? Also, remind me what all this talk about a decapitated goat and “devil worshipping” has to do with the Pagan religon? It is because of uneducated statements like these that people recieve horribly skewed ideas of what Witchcraft really is. If I were you I’d be more worried about the radical Christians running rampant throughout these parts, those who supposedly preach the word of God and yet they do not practice what they preach. The People who stalk others around town because no one wants their little green books, the people who force their narrow-minded beliefs down others throats and then come to campus and scream “You’re all going to hell!” at students. Statements like the ones above breed hate and contempt in one’s heart and are not very “Christian” in the first place. So what if there are supposedly some naked folks running around in the forest? Have you seen them personally, have they harmed you, waggled themselves at your property or family? If not then what should it matter! Let’s not forget that once upon a time the roles were reversed, Christians were the ones being viewed with scorn and fear. Should the representatives of a religion that has been so terribly discriminated against in it’s history really be comparing a natural and loving religion such as Paganism to the Third Reich? People fear the unknown, that which is not familiar to them, such is so with Paganism in Eastern KY. As for “rituals”? Please, what the heck do you call those things that people get together for on Wed. nights/Sunday mornings around here? I do believe that they would fall into the same category, not to mention the revivals that take place throughout the year. Take a good look at your own religion before making general comments/comparisons about others. Thank you.

Yep, fall break, the goal was to shift towards a year round calendar so the little human resources could be seperated from their moral compass /family; a communist plot (centralized control of education) AND the pagans popularity is also said to be a communist plot towards the separation of the youth from worship of the Creator toward worship of the creation and or pleasure/sensationalism that is seen as the most logical religon for those not enlightened by the light of lucifer(reason) to worship logic/man’s wisdom which the bible tells us is foolishness.

That female dispatcher at Morehead 911 giving bad information is going to get someone killed one of these days! That’s What’s Bugging Me!
Sometime about 1:15 a.m. this morning she falsely informed s4 that s5’s location was at us 60 and Bluestone. When s4 arrived on the alledged scene of the traffic stop, he couldn’t locate s5 and ask for confirmation. The dispatcher then informed (falsely) that “He is on Bluestone just up the hill from us 60″. Finally a city officer cut in and gave s4 the correct location.
This wasn’t a life and death situation, but what if it had been? The deputies backup officer was given the wrong location at least twice… A location miles away from his actual location.
What if something had went wrong and things had turned nasty during that traffic stop? It did involve an arrest by the way…
So here we have a deputy sitting way out in the middle of shotgun country, awaiting his help to arrive with an arrest warrant, while his help is being led upon wild goose chases by a person whom is supposed to serve as a life line.

Star, I personally don’t see any harm in it. There clearly isn’t any way that I can take a side in this discussion without violating the provisions of the First Amendment. But allow me to say that I do understand that there is a diffrence between Witchcrafts, Druidism, Paganism, and all forms of Christianity.

I’ve got a question….and I think maybe it would be good to have a section just for people with questions and other people might have the info they are looking for.
Anyway, I want to paint the bathroom wall in my smallest bathroom. It has vinyl wallcovering over dry wall that was installed from the factory. Do I need a special paint? I know I attempted to put up vinyl wallpaper border and it fell off as soon as it dried. I had to get vinyl wallpaper paste. Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of paint I would need and the best way to apply it. Thanks, Kat

I went through the CITGO drive-thur across from Save-A-Lot this afternoon. This is only the second time I have been a customer there and the last as I was insulted both times.
This afternoon, I was on my way to see my grandmother and called to ask if she wanted anything, she said maybe a pineapple milkshake or Snickers Candy bar. Since I was way pass where I would get a pineapple shake, I drove around for a Snickers bar. The guy at the window said, “Would you like that in SUGAR FREE?” and laughed. I said, “Excuse me?”, he said you know they do have sugar free diet candy. I told him I was aware of that. He said you wouldn’t be that big if you didn’t eat this, maybe I shouldn’t sell it to fat people. !!!!!!!!!!!! I was so ticked off. I told him first of all I was diabetic and it was NOT for me and secondly even if it WAS that was NONE of his business. I refused the candy and ask for my money back, he said, “oh come on, I was just joking”. I again, ask for my money back and told him I would not be back. X(

I was already considering boycotting that place because I think they gouge people on gas…plus about half the time the receipt doesn’t print out at the pump and you have to go in and deal with them…they are definitely on the list now.

I’m also fairly sure the people who support Clinton/Edwards/Obama know that it is wrong to kill a child; yet they’ll support them anyway. How can anyone think that people who don’t care about protecting our very most vulnerable will give a HOOT about them?
And if they’re so scientifically challenged that they’d argue that it “isn’t a child”, how in the world can they be trusted with their opinions about global warming?
I’d like to finish (almost) by pointing out that the Clintons have never won a majority of votes in any election…not for Governorship, not for the Presidency, or nothing else; they’ve always won by having some Ross-Perot-type nut to run as a third candidate and siphoning votes off their opponents. Weill “Mike Fraizer” you just did the same thing by saying ‘you all’ lumping us all in one category. I have never heard someone use the term “Daisy Mae” unless it is posted on scanner scoop lately and I haven’t read several of those posts in the last month.
A.I. is all too often used it seems but how do we know how many that have had a few are let go since it is legal to drink supposely, just not legal to get home from the bar. A.I. Is often used instead of other charges I suspect, like in minor fights, or when a party gets too loud and folks are in the street and such. OR if they know the double super secret handshake and were driving?

Anybody on “the everybody fields” mailing list? When they were in at Grounds and Sounds a couple times, I got their CD’s and love them. They seem to really be branching out now and are currently doing several gigs on the west coast. Really wished they had a venue here in Morehead or nearby.

Really hard to say right now Kat, I know the county roads are pretty slick, or at least they were just a few minutes ago. I haven’t heard anything out of the County Road Dept this morning, but it’s just now 2:15 am…
I’d say they’ll try their best to stick to a 2 hour delay and end up having to call it off at the last minute.
My Artificial mercury (alcohol) thermometer is reading 20F but looks to be frozen, and my spring thermometer is reading 12F… so I would have to guess it’s around 16F right now. Salt just isn’t going to do much good at these temps.

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (TRY THE KEY WORD) AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY.
Cancer Update from John Hopkins
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime
3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.
4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.
5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.
6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, an d can cause organ damage, like liver,
kidneys, heart, lungs etc.
7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour.
Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.
b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.
c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.
d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains,seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. 12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, insta nt ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.
Paper isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper.
The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap
and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie………
I met this guy while I was in Albuquerque and he has
a motto he lives by everyday. He said listen carefully and
live by these 4 rules : Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie.
I was shaking my head ‘no’, but he then told me to listen
while he explained his four rules. So here they are :
1.. “Drink” from the “everlasting cup” every day.
2.. “Steal” a moment to help someone that is in worse shape
than you are.
3.. “Swear” that you will be a better person today than
yesterday.
4.. And last, but not least, when you “lie” down at night
thank God you live in America and have freedom.
I am not as good as I should be, I am not as good
as I could be . but THANK GOD
I am better than I used to be !

What happened to our Prayer Page? Anyway, prayer request. My grandmother was transferred from Life Care to St. Claire’s ICU, chest pain, she has really gone from bad to worst after my mother was found dead, this was her second child to pass away and my grandfather’s passing certainly didn’t help matters. I hear people “swear” all the time; I don’t mean using gutter talk; my impression of the teachings in the 4 gospels Mat. Mark Luke and John, says it is the tongue that no one can tame, condemns you, and you don’t have the power to change one hair black or white, so do not swear to do anything, that is the Creator’s prerogative, to swear HE is gonna do something not ours. We cannot “swear” we will be here in 30min. even with government sponsored dial a prayer, 911. While you can try to improve yourselves our efforts are pretty much minuscule, but efforts are required. I cannot swear I am a better person or that I will be, there are too many unforeseen circumstances tomorrow, today has enough troubles, we can try to keep the faith and not look back.

The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending your tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

Time for a new cell phone! Ok, here’s the problem…The cell phone I have now is OK, but I DO NOT need nor use texting, listening to music, take pictures, etc. I just need a plain, simple, reliable cell phone with a speakphone. All the phones I’ve looked at online are geared towards lots of texting, MP3 music., etc. Just need to talk to keep in touch with clients, etc. Any ideas?

KAT , judt go to ATT or who ever you got service with and get what ever simple phone they have for free. they usually have a few to choose from. it is getting harder to find just a plain simple phone. i always get the complicated phones that almost take a college degree to operate, i have a palm treo and a sony walkman phone.

Tiny Iowa town rescinds $5 cat bounty–OH “ME-OWL” NO!
DES MOINES, Iowa - Cat haters, nevermind: The tiny town of Randolph has rescinded a $5 bounty on feral feline.
Instead, the southwest Iowa town of 200 people has agreed to work with animal rescue groups on a catch, neuter and release program.
“We’ve told them to get it lined up to do it,” Mayor Vince Trively said Friday.
The City Council approved the bounty after receiving numerous complaints about feral cats. Under the initial policy, which went into effect March 1, stray cats without collars would be taken to a veterinarian, and if they weren’t claimed, they’d be euthanized. That caused an uproar among animal lovers.
On Thursday, the city voted to end the bounty and form a task force involving three organizations, Maryland-based Alley Cat Allies, Best Friends Animal Society of Utah and Feline Friendz in Nebraska.
“We’re very keenly interested in helping this community. The mayor is reaching out for help,” said Barbara Williamson of the Best Friends group.
The task force will meet next week to devise a plan, which the City Council will consider on Thursday, said Elizabeth Parowski, spokeswoman for Alley Cat Allies.
“What will happen is the cats that are truly feral will return to the outdoors and the cats that are strays that are actually socialized will be adopted into homes,” Parowski said.
Sherry Haftings of Feline Friendz said she already has several veterinarians lined up to help, but a lot more needs to be done.
“There’s going to be shelters that need to be built, cat food that needs to be donated, traps that we need, towels that we need,” she said. “There’s a lot of who’s going to coordinate which end of it.”
Trively still wants the cats gone — and said returning them to town is not a solution.
“How would you like it if a dozen cats come around there every morning as you tried to feed pets and they gobble up food and chased your pets away and then left a calling card on your yard or walk to step on?” he asked.
When the bounty was in place, two cats — one of them pregnant — were turned in. The mayor said the first cat was ill and died.
Feline Friends eventually picked up the second cat. Haftings said it was doing fine.
