NEW AMBULANCES AND TASERS

By Kat • Aug 9th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

Personally, I think the new ambulances and tasers were money well spent for once.  I know that sometimes several ambulances are scattered in all different directions in the county, transferring to Lexington/Cincinnati, etc.  and were, in my opinion, much needed.  Does anyone have any comments on this?   Anyone against the tasers being purchased?  After all, [...]

What in the WORLD were they thinking??

By dave • Aug 8th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

OK, we need some fresh stuff to gripe about on here, so I’m going to kick it off with a couple of topics…this one, and my KFC rant below.
I want to know what in the world they are going to do with the very large and unsightly “development” along the connector, there on the right, [...]

Morehead didn’t need another KFC building

By dave • Aug 8th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

In my opinion, the old building probably stayed up longer than it needed to.
On several occasions, that place was just a total MESS inside.  The tables smelled like spoiled milk, the floor was greasy and slick, and the food was mediocre at best.
Lee’s has been kicking their butts for a while now.
Will that continue with [...]

AMERICA’S BEST PLACES TO RAISE A FAMILY

By Kat • Aug 8th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

Geez!  Once again, Morehead isn’t on the list.  I’m shocked.  I mean look at all we have to offer!

America’s Fastest-Dying Cities

By Kat • Aug 8th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

I’m shocked that Morehead isn’t on the list.  Could be that it’s already dead?

Another rough decade for the Rust Belt.
The turmoil of the mortgage market granted a temporary reprieve from hearing about the woes of America’s Rust Belt. That doesn’t mean things are better. Despite a decade of national prosperity, the former manufacturing backbone of [...]

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! SERIOUSLY! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

By Kat • Jun 25th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

Capital punishment is reserved for murders? Ok, how about the FACT that these low lives, and yes, I am speaking from first hand experience, they MURDERED our soul, they MURDERED our spirit, they MURDERED any idea of what a normal relationship is, they MURDERED our bodies, etc.  This is the sort of thing that even [...]

GOD ISN’T ALLOWED AT THE INSPIRATION CENTER?

By Kat • May 7th, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

Well, having just come from church, I heard “A” Pastor, not ‘MY’ Pastor tell that another Pastor in town, a well known one at that,  had called the Inpiration Center, (men’s alcoholic de-tox place just down US60 West past 519), and ask if they could hold a weekly church service for the men there.   They were [...]

Opinions about Windstream telephone service.

By nighthawk • Mar 3rd, 2008 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

Anyone else dissatisfied with the Quality, Service and Price of Windstream, or is everything running smoothly and just fine?
Should the citizens take up a petition and ask Fiscal Court to step in and demand better service and lower prices, and if so, would you be willing to sign it, or would you refuse, and why?

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM JESUS

By Kat • Nov 27th, 2007 • Category: Opinions and Editorials

 Dear Children,
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset  that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you’ve forgotten that I wasn’t actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan [...]
