Historic Haldeman School Burns Down

Around 4 a.m. on Friday Sept 28th several units responded to a call of the old Haldeman School being on fire. As you can see from the pictures, the school built in 1937 was gutted by the blaze.

Around 6:15p.m. Friday evening Local fire departments were dispatched to what was originally reported as a Brush Fire in the area of Dark Hollow and Barber Road off from KY-1167 “Dry Creek Road”.
The Forest Service was notified after an active forest fire was discovered at the same location.
