About
Welcome BACK…to RowanReview.com!
Many of you were with us on our old site, but we expect that a lot of you are new visitors, too. For a short time, the old site will still be accessible at http://old.rowanreview.com. Once our time is up on the server there, however, this will be our one and only home.
The philosophy of what RowanReview.com is (and isn’t) has changed a lot since our early days. Ultimately, however, we want to provide a place for folks here in our little community of Morehead, KY and Rowan County to exchange ideas and dialog freely and openly. That doesn’t mean wailing on someone who has a different opinion than you. We do have rules, even though they are basically common sense.
Our site is always growing and evolving, and we hope you’ll enjoy your visit!

This was from the 4th of July when I accidently posted it on the test site:
Morehead Police are currently helping in a pursuit. A male, about 240 pounds, no shirt, white GMC truck with bars on the front, was involved in a home invasion in Menifee County and has several items in the back of his truck. Subject is coming into Rowan on route 1274. Not known if he is armed. S4 and another are trying to locate the subject. Unit out of Menifee County broke off their pursuit.

Is anyone else having trouble with the blue and gray ’site stuff’ overlapping onto the place you are trying to read?

Only with the links on the left Kat, Dave fixed the links on the right yesterday. They were jumping way down the screen and disappearing when I used internet explorer. Seems to be stable with firefox and netscape browsers.

dangit…i wasn’t having a problem with IE on the left side after i did the fix yesterday, but i’m using version 7, so maybe it is more forgiving? i will have to see if i can’t get it straightened out on the left now, too.
thanks for the notice!

The “Recent Comments” is stable, but the other links are the ones moving about. I’ll list them and and maybe it’ll help out a little… Site Stuff, Upcomming Events, and Categories are the ones that are moving on my end. As i said before “Recent Comments” is stable. I hope this helps out a little bit
The fix you applied to “latest posts” and “recent comments” worked.
In any event this is an excellant modification of the original theme, and if your doing all of the coding by hand… WOW! Great Job eather way. The site is looking good.

Dave or DHunley or nighthawk I think this
site could use more color on the page
The page is to light needs to be a
little darker color to make it better
not so light thats just my opinion

Precious,
I’m only a writer and occasionaly a space monkey…LOL.
I like the site “as-is” but that’s just my personal opinion.
Although I cant speak for Dave or D Hunley, I’d imagine that more updates are on the way in the future and your suggestion for adding more color will likely be taken into consideration.

Me thinks not?
One Post said 17 were signed up last week?
and most were just reading apparently,
3 of the 17 are mine as the registration email was sent to my bulk box on 7/4 without my knowlege for like 5 days and
so I activated a new ISP email that I was not using to get an account as I couldn’t figger out why it would not let me register. SO long story short, wunder if that sorta thing happened to anyone else not so persistant as me?

On he so many “nomen” issue well, I think “techno-man” was what wuz ment originally and the spelling of the nickname is at the wim of one so derided as being tooooo nitpicky or correctional of common misconceptions as someone so “off” that they paid attention in skoo and do unconventional thangs like own and read law dictionaries and such.

Interesting Holiday Stamp???
I personally checked this out for accuracy, and yes, it is for sale on the US post office website under stamps for sale. This makes me sick.
CHRISTMAS STAMP
How ironic is this??!! They don’t even believe in Christ and they’re getting their own Christmas (or Holiday) stamp, but don’t dream of posting the ten commandments on federal property?
USPS New Stamp
This one is impossible to believe. Scroll down for the text.
If there is only one thing you forward today…..let it be this!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of Pan Am Flight 103!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military Barracks in Saudi Arabia!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!
REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on 9/11/2001!
REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!
Now the United States Postal Service REMEMBERS and HONORS the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a commemorative first class
Holiday postage stamp.
REMEMBER to adamantly and vocally BOYCOTT this stamp
When purchasing your stamps at the post office. To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.
This is true . . . it can be verified on:

OK, BrainStainer, you stated, and I quote, “A NEW GOVERNOR HE IS GOING
TO TRY TO LEGALIZE GAMBLING WHICH ISN’T A BAD IDEA THAT WAY THE STATE CAN GET HALF THE MONEY AND USE IT FOR HEALTH CARE COST FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS AND OTHER GOOD USES TO HELP PEOPLE .”
My ONLY and I do mean ONLY comment is it’s a good thing HALF the money is going to help with the health care of children, etc., because they won’t have a place to live and be on welfare because their parents will gamble away the rent and utility money, etc., and then the depression sets in and they are on med’s for depression. Yes, Thank God, we’ll have some gambing money to help pay for the directly linked effects of gambling and depression, suicide, domestic violence, etc. End of MY comment.
