Wonder why there was nothing in the paper about the check advance robbery at Patrick Center being an inside job?  The woman waited 45 minutes to call the cops,  detectives arrived to question her the next morning and she reportedly ‘crumbled’ and was fired and the guy they are looking for, or have they found him?, has multiple outstanding warrants. etc., etc.  Maybe just waiting on all the full details to make it a front page headline?

Units working last night.  Hummm.  Trailer on the ground.

THURS: 3:43p.m. EMS called out to Lyons Avenue to a vehicle vs pedestrian.

THURS: 2 times in the past 2 days a certain ‘infamous’ dispatcher has had to be asked for the chief complaint WELL after unit is en-ROUTE to a call.   One was just a simple—’possible heart attack, chest pain, trouble breathing’…Are you kidding me?  and the one today was ‘COPD, trouble breathing, smothering’.  Geez, good thing it wasn’t something life threatening like an infected hang nail.

SUN: Cops had their hands full last night.  Fight in progress on McClure Circle, EMS called and both refused transport, then report of 2 drunks at Cadeth Trailer Park, one trying keep another from leaving and the one was laying in the middle of the road….cops got them straighten up for awhile until the one came back outside and started yelling and cops came back and hauled his butt off to the pokey….then drunk was thrown out of a bar and started beating on the cars outside and putting dents in the hoods, etc., he was taken to the pokey for public intoxication and criminal mischief 3rd degree….then there was the car driven by someone with a suspended license and the car had a ‘junk title’ from 2003! no S.O. units on duty , aint that nice, can’t wait til the stumpster is in there. that is uncalled for. what if someone really needed help with something. that would have been nice wouldn’t it. with robberies and burglaries that have been going on we need someone on duty at all times.

  2. Kat says:

Amen Curt. I do not understand why at least one S.O. unit can’t be on duty 7 nights a week. Of course, tonight being Thursday there will be ‘old faithful’ on duty, as usual and thank God for him. It is my earnest prayer that people will go to the vote and vote IN someone that is out trying to make this a better place to live and not shining a seat and collecting 2 checks while people are being robbed left and right and the drugs rage on unabated.

  3. puzzled says:

Isn’t it, or don’t you find it interesting, how the sheriff seems to have at least one deputy
    working the county 27/7 lately?

Could it be because he wants to show the voters that he is capable of scheduling
reasonable working hours and providing the policing services in which this county
    is dearly in need of?

Could it be that i am experiencing Deja-Vu?
    OR
Didn’t the sheriff do exactly the same thing 4 years ago?

Didn’t most all of the extra sheriff patrols come to a sudden halt after the November
    general elections?

Could it be that i am going senile and experiencing false memories?
    OR
Does at least one or two other people have similar memories?

Is there anybody out there who believes the extra sheriff patrols will continue after
the general election is over? because i for one don’t believe they will.

The scanner scoops don’t go back as far as the last sheriff’s race anymore, but a
little looking into the scanner scoops from the last couple of years should show
this sudden drastic increase in sheriff patrols.

Four years ago our sheriff stated in a public forum which was aired over a local
commercial radio station that he wasn’t going to change, and he hasn’t.

    Therefore;
I am holding the following opinion of the increased sheriff patrols:
The people who don’t want county law enforcement already caught onto this
a long time ago, but, unfortunately, most of those who desire (NEED) more
sheriff patrols will fall victim to the sheriff’s little publicity stunt of visibility.

I don’t believe that the increased sheriff patrols occurring less than a week after
curt and kat’s comments here was coincidental, so either the sheriff or a member
of his staff, family or a friend is probably monitoring this site. I expect a written or
verbal attack, if not a right out *confrontation (which wouldn’t be a good idea)*
to be brought upon me to occur shortly after i post this.
