KAT’S SCANNER SCOOP MON-SUN MARCH 15-21/UPDATED SUN 8:59P.M.

MON: 12:33p.m. 100 units asked to respond to the 1100 block of Main Street.  Owner said one of the apartments had a door jimmied.

MON: 12:46p.m. Report of a possible trailer fire near Caudill Cemetery Road, flames showing.  Turned out to be a control burn of a small building.  Owner had bulldozer, etc., at site.  He was advised to notify fire department next time he decided to burn a building down.

MON: 7:43p.m. EMS and First Responders responding to Bear Skin Hollow to a 55 y/o diabetic with a blood sugar of 472, having trouble speaking.

MON: 8:44p.m. Cops responding to a call from a man that came out of Food Lion and found a man trying to get into his car.  Subject was reportedly about 20-21, plaid pants, long hair and had another male with him.   Last seen headed in the area of Tractor Supply.   Cops found the subjects, no crime was committed.

MON: 9:04p.m. EMS responding to street near Tippett Avenue and Board of Education Building off 2nd street, to a 55 y/o female having chest pain.  Has a history of cardiac problems.

MON: 10:05p.m. EMS responding to KY HWY 801 North to a 41 y/o male that says he is extremely confused.  KSP is en-route also.

MON: 11:06p.m. EMS called to Justin Drive for an elderly Alzheimer’s patient, needs to be transported to St. Claire for evaluation.

TUES:1:02a.m.  EMS responding to Cold Springs Hollow, possible OD of a female.  — EMS asked about the notification of cops and were told that none were notified so they had to ask dispatch to notify law enforcement.

TUES: 1:04a.m.  EMS toned out to a male on Rawcel Heights that had been at UK for a brain bleed.  Felt same symptoms were back.  Again, dispatch was asked more than once to tone out First Responders to Cold Springs and to drop the tones for a 3rd EC unit.

TUES: 8:59a.m. EMS toned out to Christy Creek to an 80+ y/o male.  Wife reported that he just fell over at the table.   Pale, has a pulse and is breathing.—EMS was asked by dispatch 16 mintues after being toned out if they wanted a tone out for First Responders, they stated no, they had the patient loaded and was en-route to St. Claire signal 9.

TUES: 1:30p.m. EMS meeting up with a Red jeep coming in from Morgan County.  Male patient 55, having a heart attack, son is driving him to meet the ambulance.

TUES: Around 10a.m.ish? EMS called out to the 600 block of Dry Creek.  Forgot to write down the complaint.

TUES: 4:15p.m. EMS called out to the 200 block of Rawcell Heights to a male that fell down some stairs.  Landed on his left side.   Having trouble breathing and coughing up some blood.  Patient had a heart by-pass less than a year ago.

TUES: 5:31p.m. EMS responding to a cancer patient on Rodburn Hollow Road.  Patient is on 4 liters of O2, having difficulty breathing, trouble speaking and no movement on one side.

TUES: 10:14p.m. Cops asked to attempt to locate a jeep belonging to a female from Tunnel Cut Loop,  involved in a bulgary in Fleming Co.   Male driver.—-UPDATE— 12:36a.m. Wednesday, dispatch asked an S.O. unit to go to Tunnel Cut Loop and meet up with KSP.—-1:42a.m. County attorney was being contacted, he was already up there but they need him to return.

TUES: About 11:25p.m.? EMS toned out to Rock Fork to a male patient on 4 liters of O2 with COPD,  having difficulty breathing.   EMS returned to St. Claire signal 9 with patient.

No wonder I’ve been ‘fuzzy headed’, have blurred vision and have slept for nearly 3 days non-stop my finger stick was just 316! Yikes.  Got a 328 earlier.  Geez wonder if all that fudge I made for church had anything to do with it?  Made 6 pounds and 4 made it to church….????   I guess all the carb’s right before going to sleep this afternoon didn’t help and I might as well admit to the 4 Reese cups for lunch.  Don’t take insulin nor pills…suppose to be controlling it with diet…yeah, right.   I know, I deserve what I get.  If, God forbid, I have to call 911, the first one on scene has permission to slap me stupid….don’t call dibs anyone.

WED: 12:14a.m. All 100 units available are responding to College View Court off Tippett Avenue, female was threatening suicide and is armed with a 38.  One gunshot has been heard.  Caller had been locked out of the house. —-12:19a.m. Units have house surrounded and are attempting to make contact.—–12:21a.m. One unit just made contact with the female, she is ok, but refusing to come out of the house.   EMS is still on stand-by.—-12:26a.m.  one unit said to look for any movement inside the house and that they were going to try to get some of the other residence out of the way.—12:33a.m. Cops still trying to contact near-by residence and get them out of any line of fire.   Female still not coming out or answering phone.—12:39a.m. Lights are on in a backroom, loud music can be heard and all the blinds are down.—12:47a.m. Cop said they were going to be on scene for awhile.   She is wanting to speak to her sister and her sister is about an hour away.—-1:29a.m. Cops have female and they are taking her to St. Claire.—-1:40a.m. Dispatch said that residences wanted to know if they could go back home and a cop said yes.—- 2:05a.m. Cop said daughter of female subject gave consent to search and they confiscated a shot gun and a hand gun.

WED: 1:08a.m. Chevron McDonald’s was requesting a 10-14(escort to deposit money), but were told they were tied up and had no one available at this time.

WED: 1:33p.m. Subject on Hill Crest Avenue said he thinks someone is in his house.  He keeps hearing things knock over.   Cops are en-route.  Male has locked himself in the bedroom and has chairs in front of the other doors and asked police to come to the back sliding glass door.  Caller has armed himself with a hand-gun.——-Cops arrived and everything was clear.

WED: 9:21a.m. EMS responding to the office at Pine Ridge Apartments to a 50+ y/o male complaining of pain all over.

WED: 9:24a.m. 10-45 at McDonald’s, one lane blocked.

WED: 10:03p.m. EMS responding to the 5400 block of Christy Creek to a 73 y/o male, collapsed in the floor, did not lose consciousness.   EMS asked for First Responders to be toned out.

WED: 10:55a.m. EMS and 1400 units First Responders, responding to a female on Eden Hollow Road that is throwing up large amounts of blood.—-11:08a.m. One unit on scene told another to come on ahead POV(Personally Owned Vehicle), that they needed all the help they could get. —11:11a.m. EMS and other units arriving on scene.—-11:31a.m. EMS en-route to St. Claire with patient.

THURS: Around 2:46a.m. Female called and said she was out walking her dog on North Tolliver behind the Certified Station when a Hispanic male began following her.  She stated he started running towards her with what appeared to be some sort of object in his hand.   She said she out ran him.  —I’m sorry but I have to ask why one is out at 3 in the morning walking a dog?  I know you have the right to do so any time you please but my church is a block away and I wouldn’t do that in the daylight.  Just my thoughts.  Hope everything turns out ok.   Cops stayed in the area quite awhile and were unable to locate.

THURS: Before 3a.m. S.O. unit and others responded to a male walking/running along US60 area and was said to have takin off running down Mynhier Road area near SealMaster.

THURS: 3:49a.m. Fleming County District Court Warrant served.

THURS: 4:45a.m. Cop hit the jackpot.  3 men in a car, 2 suspended, one with an active warrant, and the tags on the car expired in 2005! 

THURS: 1:37p.m. EMS responded to Hill Side Court, to a 91 y/o male, severe headache and slurred speech.

THURS:EMS responded to the V.A. Clinic to a male, possible stroke.

THURS: 1:10p.m.  Cops asked to attempt to locate a male that left St. Claire on foot, AMA(Against Medical Advice).

THURS: 3:58p.m. 10-45 at US60 and Bridge Street.   One car had to be towed from the scene.   Saw Shell tow truck take a short cut through Slone’s Market parking lot with a red car in tow with the entire front end smashed in.

THURS: 6:54p.m. Units responding to Busy Bee’s Day Care on 1st Street to a gas leak in the building.

THURS: Somewhere before midnight I believe, I vaguely woke to hear something about a female and someone was following her?   I think cops were unable to locate.   How’s that for vague?

FRI: 12:30a.m. Either the same or another cop hit the jackpot again…. 3 subjects in a car he stopped, all from Olive Hill I believe, one had multiple priors, suspended, etc., and 2 outstanding warrants.   Jail getting a bit crowded or do they just book and release?  One was for failure to appear….well DUH….put’em back in for a few hours and then say ‘now you be good and show up this time for your court appearance’….good luck with that.

 FRI: 1:40a.m.  S.O. Unit came upon a fire at the garbage dump.  Gate is locked.  Fire Department en-route.  This is on Old Phelps Road in Farmers off US60 West.—–1:49a.m. Fire Department is on scene awaiting keyholder.—2:04a.m. Keyholder on scene.

FRI: 1:45a.m. Another winner on their way to the pokey.

FRI: 3:01.a.m. EMS responded to a female on Rawcel Heights having difficulty breathing.

FRI: Somewhere around 3 something this morning, cops responded to a female that had an EPO(Emergency Protection Order), against the father of her child.   Man had the child in a van and was ‘going to leave with him’.   Fell asleep and didn’t hear the outcome.

FRI: A few minutes before 9a.m. Dispatch received a 911 hang-up from a residence and could not re-contact.  Cop said it was a domestic and female was taken into custody.

FRI: About 6:12p.m. Elliottville Units responding to a forest fire, Dept. of Forestry has been asked to respond.  Units on Andy White Branch.

FRI: 6:48p.m. Units toned out to a fire in the 7000 block of  Rock Fork.   Subject called and said they threw out some coals and it caught the grass on fire and is spreading.—7:12p.m. Unit on scene, asked for a tone out to the scene on Rock fork for a brush truck and engine.  Unit asked where the water tank was in the area.  The fire is against the road at this time and Forestry is on scene at this time.

SAT: 5:55p.m. EMS responding to a 20 y/o female at Wal-Mart.  She just got off work, is at the bus stop in front of the food section, is complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath.  No prior medical problems.

SUN: 8:57p.m. EMS responding to Wood Hill Drive to an elderly female that fell down a hill and had been laying out in the rain for quite some time.  Neighbors have gotten her up the hill and into a house.
