KAT’S SCANNER SCOOP MON-SUN FEB 8-14TH/UPDATED SUN/MON MIDNIGHT./CHINA STAR HAS ‘CONTROLLED BURN’ IN LOBBY FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR?

SUN: Late night…. EMS called out to Maxey Flat Road to a 20 y/o female, 3 months pregnant, fell off porch, complaining of back pain.

MON: 7:38a.m. Alarm sounding at Clinic Drive…ah could be they are coming in for the morning and didn’t shut the alarm off in time.  ??? Just a guess.

MON: 8:32p.m. Another one just got pulled over with a suspended license.—- Infant in the vehicle.   Mother arrived on scene and infant was released to her.  Papa in the pokey.

MON: A bit before 10p.m. Cop pulled over a vehicle that came back registered to ‘larger than 3′ truck.   Noted, verbal warning, young driver.

—Several runs today, transfers, etc.  

KAT NOTE: Severe carpal tunnel flare-up along with bursitis in both elbows results in totally numb fingers….will be posting less for a bit to let it settle down.

MON: Pontiac Fire Bird on fire in the ditch at the end of the drive-way of someones house.  Fire Department responded, fire was already out.

TUES: EMS transported a patient from MSU to St. Claire

TUES: 7:36a.m. EMS responding to a male in his 80’s that fell in the bathroom.  Blue Stone Road.

TUES: 7:51a.m. Report of a possible 10-46 near the Rowan/Fleming line on 32.—– Fire Department dispatched due to the road conditions at 7:55a.m.——- Rowan County EMS worker was called at his home about this from a female, said she had a baby in the car and was in a ditch.   They are N-ROUTE.  — Unit said to contact Hillsboro Fire Department, it’s about 1 mile into Fleming County.—-UPDATE 8:06a.m. 3 car pile-up, all are off the road but in a curve and in the ditchline.

TUES: 8:07a.m.  Units will be out at China Star in Lewis Place for a ‘controlled burn in the lobby’?????—– 10-9?   —– Unit on scene at China Star said they were having a ‘controlled burn’ in the lobby for Chinese New Year and they told them to PUT IT OUT!  Ya think?  DUH………..Calendar shows that Chinese New Year is Feb 14th?  Hummm…

TUES: 8:28a.m. EMS responding to Blue Stone back to the same 87 y/o male they just responded to….now becoming unresponsive.

TUES: 10:41a.m. EMS responding to Bramblewood Lane to a female that had a Cat-Scan done for appendicitis at the hospital.  ER doc wanted her to return to the ER.  DUH.  As usual, scan the scan, don’t see nothing glaring out at them and send ya home and then….oopsie!   I got a call back a few years ago from a radiologist at St. Claire about 4 days after I was in there for knee pain, which I was told was arthritis and then DUH….he calls and asks how it was feeling and said he didn’t know how I was walking on it as the patella plateau was fractured!

TUES: About 8:15p.m.? EMS called to Clearfield Manor Apartments to a 45 y/o female with stomach pain.  History of hypertension and diabetes.

TUES: 9:08p.m. Alarm sounding at Tractor Supply.

TUES: 9:40p.m. EMS responding to Rawcel to an 85 y/o female having chest pain.  Administered 4 nitro’s without relief.  She was in the hospital last week for heart problems.

 TUES: 10:28p.m. EMS responding to Knapp Avenue to a 54 y/o male? appears to be intoxicated.  Has had quite a bit of alcohol today.

WED: 1:04a.m. EMS toned out to a 10-46 on 519.  Logged 4 refusals.

WED: 8:25a.m. 2 10-45’s reported this morning.  One vehicle against a guard rail and another one just pass the Clearfield Post office in the ditch.

WED: 9:23a.m. Units toned out to the 700 block of Dry Branch to a structure fire.  Wood framed house, fully involved.  Neighbor called it in.   They stated that the owner is in Florida at this time and structure should be empty.—-9:36a.m. House is on the ground and out building are now are fire.——-10:25a.m. Command terminated at structure fire.  Unit on scene said due to the weather and inability to access the residence they were terminating command.  All structures have burnt down.

WED: Currently 4:05p.m. Had to dig my way out and go to town.  Heard something about a rollover accident on 801.  — S.O. unit assisted KSP with a domestic.

WED: 4:20p.m. EMS responding to Roxanne Street in Pretty Valley to a 56 y/o female that has fallen, unable to get up, her legs are hurting.—-initially refused transport and then EMS returned later and took her to St. Claire. 

WED: Cops responding to a domestic, female heard screaming for help.  911 dispatch can hear her as well as some police.  They were initially looking for apartments on Cincinnati Branch and Shady Lane and finally located the area on Old US60.  Neighbors said they fight all the time and had left together in a vehicle.   Cops stopped a vehicle with the same tag number given, came back to the person named.  One person in the vehicle had 3 outstanding warrants from Rowan, Morgan and Fayette….DUH.  

WED: 7:58p.m. EMS responding to Deer Lick Road off Big Brushy, male just released from the hospital for gallbladder and stents, complaining of severe abdominal pain.  Units called back and said they needed 4 wheel drive to get to this patient.

THURS:  A few 10-45’s here and there, nothing major. 

THURS: 5:50p.m. EMS responding to Bear Skin? Hollow to a female that fell last week and broke her ankle, still experiencing severe pain.

THURS: 5:56p.m. EMS transferring a patient to St. Mary’s signal 9.

THURS: 6:12p.m. Cop en-route to the pokey with a female.

THURS:    6:37p.m. EMS responding to a 70+y/o male on Mallard Drive with a UTI(urinary tract infection),fever,  severe pain.

THURS: 6:40p.m. Another one taken to the pokey.

THURS: Late evening, as I was taking a cat-nap I thought I would remember 2 tone out’s but alas, kitty has dementia?  One was an altercation where an EMS unit was called out for a male and there was a signal 9 run to Butler Hall on MSU campus I think. 

Heard another female and man lodged in the pokey.

FRI: 1:15a.m. S.O. unit attempting to locate a stranded motorist or an M.A.(Motorist Assist), on I-64 eastbound in the westbound lane.

FRI: 2:26a.m. S.O. unit responding to a loud party complaint at the Frat House on Christy Creek.  There’s a shocker. DUH.

FRI: 3:15p.m. 2 vehicle accident on the by-pass next to Sunshine World car wash.  EMS unit dispatched, unknown injuries.

FRI: 3:13p.m. Cop out at a residence in Pleasant Valley attempting to serve a warrant.

FRI: A bit before 3, just walked in the house and heard something about an EC unit and KSP.  Person taken to St. Claire.

FRI: evening, EMS responded signal 9 to an infant female on Fall Lane off Clearfield Hill.   Reportedly not breathing but dispatch could hear the child.  Infant and one rider taken to St. Claire.

FRI: 9:57p.m. EMS and other’s toned out signal 9 to Interstate Mobile Home park aka North Park, responding to a 30 y/o male, unresponsive, possible OD.

FRI: 10:22p.m. Cops responding to RoadRunners 2 to a male beatin’ on a female.

SAT:8:15a.m. EMS responding to the 1000 block of Rice Road.   Did not hear nature of call given.  EMS on scene at 8:26

SAT:11:28p.m. Cops lodged several subjects today on several violations…the latest a male on outstanding warrants, a female for AI, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, etc.

SUN: Cop out on a traffic stop, no license, etc.  Another cop out with a motorist assist on Main.  Ohio plates, out of gas.

SUN: 12:46a.m. EMS and other units toned out signal 9 to Kegley Ridge to a 60+ y/o male, possible heart attack.—wife states that she doesn’t think he is breathing.  CPR instruction was offered by wife stated she would not be able to do CPR.—12:56a.m. First Unit on scene.—EMS was just notified that this patient is a DNR(do not resuscitate).—1a.m. update….Unit on scene asked dispatch to notify 900(Coroner).—-Coroner on scene at 1:27a.m.

SUN: EMS responding to Heritage Place to a female on O2, having trouble breathing.

SUN: 2:27p.m. EMS responding to Wal-Mart to a female having severe abdominal pain.

SUN: 10:43p.m. Several domestics going on here and there……units also en-route to Partin Street behind Clearfield School to a suicidal male.   Several cars getting pulled over, etc.

SUN/MON midnight….never heard of so many people getting pulled over on Dry Creek.  Female in the pokey, suspended, warrants, etc.

    Thanks cc. No, I didn’t hear anything. Had the scanner on next to me but was sound asleep.

    Main roads are good….rural side roads are a mess and quite dicey.
