Hey nighthawk have you noticed or have problems with AC power arcs
bbzzt . . . bbzzzzt . . . bzzt, everything was locking up tonight
and I flipped to Analog 10 and saw the tracer bullet bands
flashing over the analog, so bad it that was locking up my distant
strong signals like “57″(12) 3(23) but not 38(15) and not
10analog of course but it did let me see what was causing
this during the news at 11pm ended up watching EYE FOR AND
EYE court show, since all DTV I wanted to watch was locking up.
CAN I SUE the power company FOR FREE Satellite?

wkyt.com/rescan is useless to me, they aren’t publishing the actual RF-CHANNEL.

WKYT NEWS is reporting that over the air viewers will need to rescan their boxes
on/after Sept 1st “…Even if your watching us over the air right now, you’ll still need to rescan…”
So are we just ahead of the game & watching the test transmissions, or is the actual RF
channel going to change again?

Why is WKYT keeping this such a big mystery? publicity???

It would make it so much easier for some of us IF they’d just publish the new permanent RF.
There is NO WAY that I’m going to do an auto rescan of all channels just to add WKYT.
Just let them subtract 1 viewer (ME) from the needed 15% OTA viewers if they keep hopping
around the spectrum. There are plenty of other channels on the air.

I noticed that KYT.2 & KYT.3 BOTH were displaying the Radar Sweep instead of .2 airing CW
or Jewelry Television some time early this morning and flipped a switch over so the Youngins
could watch Qubo today.

Thought I had been seeing some encoding artifacts on KYT.2 just a couple hours prior to that
and found it strange that .1 and .3 was crystal clear and .2 looked YouTube-ish.

Everything seems normal right now, but I will check later on in the early hours.

What I mean is Taylor Swift Singing woke me up on
Saturday Night Live(fell asleep on couch derrr) and I punched in 36 to see
what was on WTVQ and blammo it jumped to 27.1 (with no .2 .3)

27 must be on 36 now but signed off about 2:20 am on 57.2 to black?
Flipped to 36 at about 12:40am and it went to 27.1 with no 27.2. or .3
On my Magnavox VCR/DVD combo, about the same tuner I think is in
the Magnavox “coupon” STB?

Did you have to delete the extra PSIP 27? I had one converter that “Locked In” on 36(PSIP-27) without having to remove PSIP 36 (RF-40), but added it added an additional PSIP 27.1, 27.2, & 27.3,
resulting me in making a best guess in removing the black PSIP for 27(RF-11). …Confusing?…
Tune to the blacked out PSIP-27.1 (RF-11) and select remove… The easiest way of removing theblack PSIP-27(RF-11) that I found.

I can’t do full channel scan mainly because I am relying upon reflected RF & Atmospheric Conditions (skip) for some channels CW 30.1 & 30.2 for example for skip, WSAZ 3 (RF-17) in the evening 6/7pm until around 10:am or so (low noise time?).
ION 67 as example for reflection, The Limestone Knob blocks ION 67 at my location, but I have a good reflector to point towards–not at.

Tower still awaiting installation, but AntennaWeb predicts that I will need about a mile of tower to
receive anything other than KET… so I am reluctant to mess with a working configuration.
Might throw it (40′) up and aim a beam at Lex and another at WV just for the heck of it this fall.

TV-10(RF-10) & FOX-67(RF-31) are strong reliable signals 99.9% of the time.

It might be time to reopen this thread on the main front page with stations like KYT channel-hopping.
