I know that a lot of people have something they want to say, but are hesitant because they feel like it just doesn’t fit into any of the discussions here.

So here is a page where you can talk about anything and everything.

Have at it now, just remember the rules
and the amendments to those rules.

I thought the net had censored stuff like this:
    http://www.angelfire.com/psy/boom/_Pyro_Handbook_.htm

looks like a anarchist cookbook for pyromaniacs

  2. nighthawk Says:

Looks like a counterpart to Steal This Wiki, alleged update to Steal This Book.

  3. nighthawk Says:

I said it looks like a counterpart, but if it is, it would likely be an independent work from
other people not associated with those sites/texts.
It actually looks more likes the workings of a mirrored site since the pictures don’t work unless
you change the path to images from /psy/boom/%5BPyro%20Handbook%5D_files/ to
/psy/boom/images/ if one were to need the pictures for whatever reason.
Maybe they are still working on rewriting the html code?

  4. nighthawk Says:

If that (angelfire link) is an html version of the original files then it’s full of errors!
Seeing that the pictures are watermarked by Rat_B*****d and Extreme Pyro,
it’s a pretty good bet that people are more likely to blow themselves up then to
successfully make any fireworks. They didn’t write all of the files and they admittedly
“…do not have the expertise to judge…” [the validity of the information].
That is a large part of a whole website compiled into one page with parts missing.

Prepared for the Ice Age? There are some old skool non-consensis geology types that think Kentucky was mostly underwater just a few thousand years ago during a Ice age that melted perhaps 6-14,000 year ago. You might say what! underwater? How? Well Rock and the Earth’s crust does bend over distances. Next time you are sitting at the light at exit 137 waiting to turn left on 32, look at the sharp bend in the rock layers where the road was cut, there staring one right in the face is a 5 foot multi-layer of bent rocks at over 60degrees of angle.
It used to be more noticable before the redo of the road.

Now imagine a 2000 ft or higher wall of Ice on top of Ohio, how much does that weight bend down the earth’s crust? No do you see how it is conceivable that the layers of limestone at the tops of the hills are not as old as the evolutionary couched geologists would have us believe? The Ice melted and the crust of Ohio rose
about 6 to 8 thousand years ago (or less perhaps) and all these hill
were carved out by the decades of rains and floods from that Ice melting over less than 75yrs. The reverse is true too.
In just a few winters if the Great lakes were to stay frozen year round, how long until they expand and merge into another massive Ice sheet 100yrs?
A water mass is a heat or cold sink(store of energy) and folks know just a few feet below the surface of the lakes it is near freezing even in the summer. In winter or cold months the warm layers produce “lake” effect weather, snow and rain and such.

Ice expands too, as water freezes it expands and “grows” so if the lakes were to freeze they will grow out side their banks rather quickly and layers will pile on too. SO do not easily dismiss what I say so quickly, a youngster alive today could live to see this IF we do not see some serious solar activity soon.
The sunspots are two years overdue and the solar wind deflects the cosmic rays that are a factor for cloud formation.
Lower solar output and more clouds can be a double fold whammy on global temperatures last summer was called “the summer that wasn’t” down-unda’ for the Aussis, there appears to be a rebellion in the EU for the Kyoto climate goals. The earths orbit and tilt tend to buffer the Northern Hemispher weather extremes a bit since in the summer we are farther away from the sun by orbit but tilted more directly at the sun, in winter the Earth is closer to the sun but tilted away, this moderates things but also buffers us a bit.
Watch Austrailia and the southern hemisphere for summer record lows, and low average temps to see if we have a
    “summer that wasn’t next year”.

  6. Kat Says:

Kentucky was underwater? Well that explains why I’ve always had trouble with fluid behind my ears!

Obama and the Clintonistas will reserect issues from the 1990s it seems maybe
we need a thread on the unorganized militia:
The “unorganized” or reserve militia is a legal and lawful part of the armed forces of this nation. It is a military organization recognized by the Second Amendment of the Constitution; Title 10 Section 311 USC; The Dick Act of 1903; The National Defense Act of 1916; and affirmed by numerous court decisions.

join the nc militiaThere is no ambiguity, the “unorganized” citizens militia is not the National Guard or the state “select” militia under the governor, or part of the “organized” armed forces of the federal government. It is literally the entire body of the armed citizenry.

Although the “unorganized” militia can be called up for lawful (Constitutional) purposes, it is not under the direct control of any state or political jurisdiction. It represents the authority and power of the people over the government and stands as the last defense of the citizens of this country against any domestic tyrants.

Purposes and Authority of the Militia:

The purpose of the militia as defined by the Constitution is to:

    1. Enforce the laws of the Union (The Constitution)
    2. Suppress insurrections
    3. Repel invasions

These provisions affirm the right of the people to defend themselves and their republican form of government from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. That means that the people, as the militia have the right to fight, if necessary, oppressive government, to prevent the usurpation of the Constitution (the supreme law of the land) by anyone, including the federal government.

The authority, duty, and obligation of the citizens, acting as the militia, is clearly expressed in our Declaration of Independence: “That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it…, ” further “… it is the right, it is their duty, to throw off such government,…” Together these provisions codify the natural rights of all citizens to defense of self, family, and country.

“The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” -Thomas Jefferson

    Membership:

With the exception of certain public officials, all able-bodied men between the ages of 17 and 45 not currently serving in the regular armed forces or National Guard, and any former member of the regular armed forces, are by law already members of the “unorganized” militia. Law requiring militia participation are no longer enforced.

With very few restrictions, membership in the militia must be open to all citizens regardless of race, sex, religion or political affiliation. Units not open to public membership and/or which are organized for any purpose other than the support of Constitutional principals may be considered private armies and are not to be confused with the Constitutional “unorganized” militia.

Some militia folks choose to participate and hone skills in clubs associated with
    the Civilian Marksmanship programs
    http://www.odcmp.com

This can give a militiaman a sense of legitimacy since it is a recognized
and government supported program for decades if not over a century.

  10. Techknomen Says:

CMSP training and cirtification events can be requested if there is enough interest
in a region of a state. If you pass you can become elligible to purchase a
surpluss M1 or other military arm so that you can be “well regulated” and
    skilled in its use.

Just in case you don’t know, there is a boil water advisory for the Clearfield area. Apparently the gas company cut through a water line this morning. Lovely.

  12. Techknomen Says:

You would think that a 39 city protest involving thousands of people might warrant a national wire story, maybe a mention on cable news, but no. Reporters don’t understand the issue and therefore they ignore it. Of course this can be said for most of the important issues that affect people’s lives. Hence we get wall-to-wall coverage of the Obama daughter’s educational preferences. Fiddling while Rome burns seems almost understated.

OR politely just say “I am _________________ of (or from) (state, or County or Town) IF they push for such continue with “am I being detained”
…on what charge…am I free to go… These ID skemes are all about money and not about security, if you are in their database sooner or later
the hack is gonna happen and somebody will make off with your credit info, get out of debt and stay that way, let the bankers go under, let us build a real economic future and not a shell game of debt and trading or gambling on other folks work:

The government has lost 53 laptop or desktop computers in the year since HMRC mislaid two discs containing the details of 25 million people.

Government departments also lost 30 mobile phones, 36 Blackberries, four disc drives and four memory sticks.

Information security was propelled into the spotlight after the two discs were lost last year, with several other high-profile data losses hitting the headlines since then.

Tory MP Grant Shapps asked government departments to reveal what went missing over the year. The figures showed the Department of Health lost the most computers, with 14 disappearing. The Department of Children, Schools and Family were next with 13 lost. The Department of International Development lost nine, and the Department of Transport five.

IF a bunch of us refused to renew our “ID cards” (Real ID compliant or not)
what could they do? Besides I do not want to scan body parts or a barcode or chip like a product to be dealt with or make purchases.

Bloomberg warns “Food Prices Will Rise, Causing Export Bans, Riots”.
    Experts Warn of Food Shortages
    George Washington’s Blog
    Thursday, Nov 27, 2008
Leading economist Nouriel Roubini warns of possible food riots.

The Financial Times points out that farmers rely on credit, and credit is drying up.
One of the top experts on derivatives, economist Nassim Nicholas Taleb, warns
that supermarkets may not be able to borrow against their inventory, and will thus be forced to shut down.
I hope they’re wrong. But when experts like Roubini and Taleb warn of a potential problem, I have to listen.
    +++++++
This is the calm before the storm (or the Eye of the storm) Demand has collapsed around the world, people ain’t buying a whole lot of stuff that they were, including gasoline and Desil so eventually this will result in devaluation of our “Dollar”
(federal reserve non-note). When the world stops buying government securities, look out, that is where a lot of the speculators and “institutional funds” retreated to from the commodities market(Gas oil, and such) Oil could go back to over 150 and
gas could go above 5bucks before some runaway Wymar Republic/Argintina scrip collapse.

I SAY START YOU OWN REGIONAL SCRIPS NOW so
that businesses in your area can do business without having to directly barter but use a
medium of exchange like “Ithica Hours” or
Cascadia Hours, Berea Bucks or such as has been tried with various results since the dishonest company store scrip of the Lumber and Coal camps.
Chambers of commerce or Development districts might help if several go talk to them.

if temperatures were to drop .7 degrees annually for 20 years, another ice age would be upon us: “By then, most of the advanced nations would have ceased to exist, vanishing under the ice, and the rest of the world would be faced with a catastrophe beyond imagining,” he wrote.
Alarmist? Well, it’s no more alarmist than much of what Gore cranks out. And unlike the former vice president, Chapman isn’t hyping his threat. He puts the chances of a cooling trend at a mere “50-50.” He remains open to the threat of global warming.
But he proposes we deal with the potential threat realistically. If President-elect Barack Obama were to call him for advice, Chapman said, he’d suggest a “no regrets” approach. Solutions should be crafted so that “they won’t make us sorry if they turn out wrong.”

If something is taped on a wall and it gets touched 262 times it will fall or at least according to a teacher addressing some children. I wonder if that statement is a proven fact or if the teacher taught an unproven theory to a whole group of children as if it were a proven fact?

Teachers are entrusted to teach children facts, so I guess I learned a new fact at school.

  24. Hi Says:

Maybe its not a fact at all cause i just taped one of those 25 cent slim jim beef jerky things to the wall and touched it 300 times and it is still hanging there.
Giving a benefit of a doubt i event nudged it around sort of roughly to make it swing some and it still withstood 300 touches and is still hanging there with one single peace of scotch tape.
Teachers tell some crazy stories don’t they?

Throw Christmas tree: Tannenbaum used as weapon
PARRISH, Fla. – Authorities say a Florida man who lives with his parents has been charged with attacking his father with a Christmas tree and its metal stand.

According to the Manatee County sheriff’s report, 37-year-old Thomas Edward Lackie was arrested and charged with felony assault last week.

Authorities say he threw the 3-foot Christmas tree at his father but missed. They say he then tried to use its steel base to strike him. His father and mother subdued him.

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports that he denied trying to strike his father.

***Kat note*** Guess someone was barking up the wrong tree? silly person.

    Google 411 - 1-800-466-4411

Here’s a number worth putting in your cell phone, or your home phone speed dial: 1-800-goog411. This is an awesome service from Google, and it’s free — great when you are on the road.

Don’t waste your money on information calls and don’t waste your time manually dialing the number. I am driving along in my car and I need to call the golf course and I don’t know the number. I hit the speed dial for information that I have programmed.

The voice at the other end says, “City & State.” I say, ” Garland , Texas .” He says, “Business, Name or Type of Service.” I say, Firewheel Golf Course.” He says, “Connecting” and Firewheel answers the phone. How great is that? This is nationwide and it is absolutely free!
