OK, baby…I’m back.
By dave • Sep 6th, 2008 • Category: BannerYeah, I know I’ve been away for a while and only coming back around to settle things down around here.
But that doesn’t mean I’m not still out there thinking about things I need to write about…I just can’t find the time to actually DO the writing! It is frustrating, because I have a lot of things I want to post on here. I just have to find a way to make it happen.
I know dhunley is busy, too, but maybe this post will bring him back around.
It is almost election time. You know how you can tell?
The ads are on the TV. The signs are on the telephone posts. The candidates are on the buses. And the messages are getting on your nerves.
It doesn’t matter to me who you vote for this year (although I’d hope you would not vote for the McCain/Palin ticket!).
In my opinion, Obama represents the kind of hope and vision that Kennedy must have represented to folks back when he ran. I haven’t seen anyone with this much charisma run for President in my lifetime. Bill Clinton was pretty close, but I think Obama may be even more larger than life. Now, does that mean he’s qualified to be President of the United States? Well, maybe not that alone. But to me, he represents the best option for the job.
Eight years ago, I liked McCain. McCain was a different kind of politician. He often crossed party lines and didn’t worry about the bashing he’d take from his fellow Republicans for doing so. That is exactly the reason that you heard so many hard-core Republicans saying they would NOT vote for him if he won their party’s nomination. But, somewhere along the way, McCain did a big ol’ flip-flop. He decided to walk the party line in order to appeal to the more conservative Republican base.
And as if that wasn’t enough, he decided to pick someone as his VP candidate that was even more conservative that HIM! Now, nevermind whether she is truly qualified or not. She’s “exciting”.
Now, there’s a difference between “exciting” and charismatic, and it doesn’t mean squat to be either one if you don’t have some substance to back it up.
This choice by McCain, in my opinion, shows a complete lack of judgement and is more proof than anything he’s done so far that he does not need to be the President.
The thing that is so astounding about this pick, however, is the level of hypocrisy that has emerged from all of the Republican talking-heads. If Obama or Biden had a daughter who was 17, pregnant, and unwed, the Republican spin machine would be tearing her apart. But with Bristol Palin?? Leave that poor girl alone!! As a VP pick, they didn’t think the Governor of Virginia would have been a wise choice for Obama…too inexperienced…but Governor of Alaska?? SURE!!
Don’t believe me? Well, I’ll just let Mr. John Stewart say (and show) it far better than I ever could.
If that’s not hypocrisy, folks, then I don’t know what is.

Well I can relate to what your saying about having a lot of things to post on here and have to find a way to make it happen.
I often find myself out and about, busied with work, and think about things that I should be posting on here. But when i get the time to sit down and write an actual post, my mind goes blank.
Writers Block I think is what they call it… and Man! is it ever frustrating.
As I stated earlier Dave, in another thread…
Obama can never fill the shoes of JFK.
This election is probably the worst failure in the elective process in the annals of history.
It puts me in the mind of a bad practical joke on a national level.
At this rate we just as well give Bush another year and start the election process all over.

Most folks know that I don’t have any audio on this thing, So maybe I said something funny?
Or maybe what i said makes no sense after the video is played?
Or it makes too much sense to start the election cycle all over again and hope for better?
Folks,
I don’t care what party your affiliated with, this election cycle has been a failure.
Here we have two complete jokes competing for the office of President.

JFK has been over romanticized from my perspective, if he had not been
shot, like Lincoln, I doubt he would be so revered.
Ike, if he would have started in with that “military industrial complex” stuff
say years earlier maybe he would have been shot or could have done something?
JFK was a sex addict with no restraint, Hoover had all sorts of dirt on him and
he was to be as controlled as all the rest of them.
Obama and McInsane are both Manchurian candidates who will be doing the
bidding of their masters, neither of which are the people, or in the people’s interests.
Ron Paul at least appeared to offer something other than the status quo
his Rally for the Republic drew more people
AND if the establishment is so secure in their
validity
WHY could they not even allow the several dozen LEGITMATE delegates
of Ron Paul to the RNC to even have a damb button for the
very candidate they were appointed to vote for?
They were not even allowed to have signs that said
anything about the constitution or the brining the party back to its
Roots.
IF these folks are so legitimate that claim to rule over us
you would think their confidence would not be so easily shaken by
a few dozen supporters of a legitimate candidate.
Perception is more important than truth.
They have only empowered many of the reformers by
this unamerican censorship of the political process and it
shows “they” are very wary of the people and the prospect of
a non-establishment movement to suplant their chosen ones.

Man! I can agree with about 80% of that.
But if JFK was a sex addict? Well so maybe he was. lol
I heard that Hoover was a cross dresser too…
So I doubt he (Hoover) would have exposed JFK.
JFK was shot after he said some Acronym Agencies would be closed
and signed an EO to reinstate Legitimate Monetary Notes.
A bold move towards abolishing the (non)Federal Reserve.

At least he tried Right? I really do not think we know the truth
about JFK but he and RFK apparently co-horted with several
women including Marlyn Monroe, some church goers
around here would say they got what they deserved for
their unrepentant whoremongering.
I am not their judge but we are not to ignore these guys problems
in order to romanticize “Camelot”
Hoover was able to stay in power so long because he had so
much dirt on folks I suspect; and he did live in a glass house
because of his proclivities to cross dressing but he did throw
out the first stone (perhaps he was ordered to go after certain folks
under threat of expose of his perversions).

Dave,
Since your back and all… I have an off-topic, yet interesting question to ask you…
What would be the chances of one finding placer gold on their property?
Could it be a natural occurrence in this geographic region, or would it have more
likely have been collected and brought here by the natives or some other peoples?
I know the area is rich in Iron, but I keep finding stones of flint and no limestone around
so the flint would have to have been brought here from a nearby location maybe.
Also hear some stories about the confederate army camping and battling in this area
and nearby…
I have found an old Spanish coin too, so i tend to think that any gold in this area might
have been imported from elsewhere… but what are the chances of it naturally occurring?

IF you had to turn up the spam filter I understand but
I now cannot even post one site address logged in or not
AGAIN if you had to do this to stop the spam, fine, just heads up.
September 23rd, 2008 at 10:06 am
I don’t know if that was a glitch or if Dave fixed the problem and just hasn’t commented about it.
I can see you posts over at http://morganminute.com/ and don’t see anything in mod cue over
here, but there is another part of the site that I cannot see called spam cue (or similar)…
But i managed to get a link in using the name testing, now let me see if this link from nighthawk
manages to get through.
