KAT’S SCANNER SCOOP FRI SEPT 5TH+LABOR DAY ASSAULT VICTIM DIES

By Kat • Sep 5th, 2008 • Category: Scanner Scoop

3:41a.m. Friday morning report of smoke coming from the Cash Express building beside the downtown BP station.  Unit on scene told the others to get there as soon as possible that it was Bushes smoking.   I didn’t think the ‘Bushes’ smoked?  Humm, learn something new everyday.

Been MIA again with doc appointments, testing, etc.  There were several EMS runs yesterday.  A couple of them ’signal 9′, one to an elderly lady on O2 that they said ran out of oxygen and was having extreme difficulty breathing.  I believe I heard them said that it had been turned off?

The news reported last night that the man severely beaten a couple nights ago here in Rowan, died and they showed pic’s and gave names of those arrested for murder.

A call to the 400 block of Heritage Place.

A call to H.Hall Road across from Tower Road on Dry Creek to a patient that fell out of their wheelchair again.

There were several wrecks, from fender benders to those having to be transported and cars towed.

If anyone has anything written down, please share it.  So much went on but I just couldn’t get it down.

Also, cops have really been haulin’ in the nuts for everything from expired tags, no license, DUI’s, drugs, etc.  They’ve got a bumper crop so far, then again, it’s the first of the month isn’t it?

Around 7:55p.m. EMS called to Boodry Place.  Female unresponsive and hadn’t been heard from in several days.  Shortly after someone went on scene they said to cancel all responding and contact 900(coroner).

Early this morning a male fell from a ladder while trying to hand shudders.

8:10p.m. EMS called non-emergency to the 1000 block of Little Perry to a male running a temp and BP is high.

At 8:16p.m. Units were toned out to a possible head-on collision on I-64 near the 124 mile marker, which would make it in Bath County.   Bath said they had not received any calls.  Caller said it looked really bad.  One unit ask that PHI chopper be asked to stand-by if needed.  PHI just said at 8:25p.m. that they were available if needed and were going to check the weather.  It really is a blessing to have a medical chopper when needed in these parts.  There are so many accidents, such as farming, logging, etc., and they are so far back in the woods, etc.   At 8:27p.m. Unit said that they are passing Moore’s Ferry and have found nothing.  Suppose to be in the eastbound lane.  At 8:29p.m. unit said they were all the way to Salt Lick and it was unfounded and to cancel PHI.  KSP went all the way to the 129 and found nothing.  Can’t they track prank calls?

Earlier today there was a 10-45 in front of NAPA/Family Dollar Store area.  Firetruck was called out briefly because the one car was smoking.
