KAT’S SCANNER SCOOP SEPT 1ST- LABOR DAY

By Kat • Sep 1st, 2008 • Category: Scanner Scoop

4:48a.m. alarm going off at Taco Bell.
5:39a.m. a 100 unit notified dispatch that all the lights were out in the 300 block of Bridge Street and the transformer was smokin’ but so far I haven’t heard anyone dispatched to take care of it and that was 5 minutes ago.

6:05a.m. EMS is responding to Pleasant Valley to a 20+ y/o female, she is lying down and the dispatcher is whispering and sounds sleepy or something, originally he told EC unit to signal 6 him (call), do you think that maybe they think that we think they think we are listening?   I thought ALL police agencies had strong coffee on tap!

Ok, it’s currently 10:52p.m. and there is a lot going on…….

Around 10p.m. EMS was asked to respond to but stage on Hamilton Road, until a cop got on scene to see what was going on.   Then they called out First Responders and EMS told dispatch to notify St. Claire that they were coming in with a full code/trauma code.

EMS responding to Reynolds Road to a male confused and doesn’t know his surrounding.  He was in the hospital yesterday for the same complaint and they can’t figure out what the problem is.

KSP ask city to help them out with a 2 vehicle 10-45 in the 1900 block of Moore’s Flat.

State Department has been notified that there is a tree down on US60 that is blocking both lanes of traffic.  This is near Bentley/Day Road, just before Brown’s grocery.

Cops following up on Lafayette Drive to a criminal trespassing complaint.

Yesterday cop responded to a male passed out in the parking lot of Jack Roe Insurance.

Yesterday there was a 10-46 at 801/519 both vehicle’s off the road.  4-5 patients, one a 12 y/o with an obvious hip fracture, another with a head injury.

  1. nighthawk Says:

I hear a transformer is smoking or burning around the 300 block of Bridge Street.
Wonder if the letric company got one of them thair Burn Permits first?

  2. Kat Says:

I see you just heard that also nighthawk. Looks like ‘the gang’s’ all here! I haven’t even gone to sleep yet for watching that hurricane and how it’s going to impact his flight in a few hours.

  3. Kat Says:

LOL, Burn Permits! Slow thinker here, no sleep. LOL funny that no one has been contacted, at least via the airwaves.

  4. nighthawk Says:

You’d think that the Fire Department would have been toned out?
They are the ones trained for those situations.

  5. Kat Says:

    Oops, wrong blog…….

  6. nighthawk Says:

Maybe the dispatcher read that Burn Permit comment and got to laughing so hard he forgot to tone them out?

  7. Kat Says:

That’s what I thought I would hear nighthawk but as you know, after 10 minutes, we haven’t heard a thing. You’d think if it were smokin’ thar be a firetruck dispatched or KU notified? Dispatcher? Ya got yer ears on?

  8. Kat Says:

Dang…..they sure are keeping close tabs on McBrayer School for some reason. That’s twice in the past 2 hours.

  9. nighthawk Says:

I think all the schools, churches, and cemeteries are being closely watched.
Little old ladies with guns can be hazardous to a dope dealers health.

  10. [(Required Voluntary Compliance)] Says:

?close tabs on McBrayer Sch… $40,ooo bucks worth of damage to Clearfield
Elementary over the weekend is what I heard, smashed computers and doors
kicked or pried open. geeze nothing stolen? Just ransaked? Motive?

  11. nighthawk Says:

Why just call them up or pay a visit to ask them about what happened to our property!
I’m sure they’d be glad to tell you unless maybe they have something to hide…

    Clearfield Elementary
    460 McBrayer Road
    Clearfield, KY 40313

    (606) 784-5729
    FAX (606) 783-0557

Go Ahead and call… That’s an open challenge to and duty of every taxpayer in this county.

  12. nighthawk Says:

Just call them up and ask them about it.
Let your fingers do the walking… it’s a snap.

Call or even visit them, and then come back and ask motive?

    You Tell Me!

With GOD as my witness, I can think of only one motive…
Do you have the kahonies to call them up and then publish that motive?

I’ll bet you come up with the same theory that I did.

  13. nighthawk Says:

    “$40,ooo bucks worth of damage…”???
I’m not asking for a source, but do You think that might be a liberal estimate?

“…smashed computers and doors kicked or pried open…”
Once again, I’m not asking for a source.

    “…geeze nothing stolen? Just ransaked?…”
I’m not asking for a source, but I have to suspect it is a reliable source.

    “…Motive?”
Call them up and just ask them any question you can think up about the event.
Take the answer you get into consideration…

    and do some basic logic.

    I see a motive… Maybe even a few suspects…
And perhaps a crime that hasn’t even been brought into question.

Can’t you see the motive after taking all of the above into consideration?

  14. [pseudonomen] Says:

That phone number to the Clearfield School is wrong!
The correct number is (606) 784-5792

  15. [pseudonomen] Says:

Somebody needs to fix nighthawk’s post where the phone number is wrong.

  16. (required voluntary compliance) Says:

Ok well was anything in the paper tuesday? Maybe friday?
Is the stuff insured for “vandalism” maybe they
needed new computers and faked it? I can’t figger
    out what you are intimating?
I have heard of vandals doing alot of damage
but this seems like a lot of work and nothing was
reported stolen? This is just what I am hearing from someone
that listens to their scanner and talks with some officials.
I do not have a direct official source.

PERHAPS someone with Rowan Review as a admin or author
that has a fax or the software to recieve faxes could get on the State Police media contact list to get the official “news releases” faxes or emails
to get the “official” statements on such investigations?

  17. nighthawk Says:

Did you contact Clearfield Elementary and ask just exactly what was stolen or damaged?
The correct number is (606) 784-5792.

I’m not interested in “official” STATE press releases only VERITAS will satisfy me.

  18. nighthawk Says:

I can’t figure out how Kat didn’t see activity or at least get some on camera.
Neighbors all around and one has a loud barking guard dog.
I don’t know how anybody could have pulled off such a feat without being
    seen or heard.
Everyone in the area knows the usual automobiles and such that you might see
belonging in the parking lots after hours.
And the neighbors in the area would have reported a suspicious automobile parked
in an out of place location (you have to know the people in the area to understand).
The neighbors in that area are more then just neighbors, the long time people of the
neighborhood are more like a big family. Having differences once in a while, but still
remaining friends, lending a helping hand to one another.

  19. Kat Says:

I don’t know nighthawk exactly what happened or didn’t happen at Clearfield School. I have hidden camera’s surrounding my place and they fan out pretty far and I didn’t see anything on them other than the usual cars in the parking lot late at night doing whatever they are doing. Didn’t see anyone going towards the building. Of course, I can’t see the very back side of it that’s on Partin Street. I know my neighbor that is directly beside the school is a nightowl like myself and she didn’t hear or see anything and they have dogs. ???? Don’t know. As long as they didn’t take the group pic I’m in in the trophy showcase where we won the 1975 Rowan County Volleyball championship then I guess everything is ok???

  20. Kat Says:

Another thing about the Clearfield School incident. I’m not saying it did or did not happen but I’m up most of the night and after 2 ear surgeries for some reason I have trouble hearing close up or on a phone but I can hear a carnary break wind a mile away. So who knows what really happened. Maybe one day, “Area 51″ will break it’s silence but don’t hold your breath. I do hear the teachers yelling at the kids at lot when they are outside. I don’t know if they are really “YELLING” or the sound just carries over here so strongly but it sounds like they are standing right beside me.

  21. [(Required Voluntary Compliance)] Says:

I bet the insurance goes up and they demand
a better silent alarm be put in or drop the policy eh?
20k or more seems like a attention getter for the policy agent?.

  22. Kat Says:

I hope you’re sitting down RVC because I actually agree with you! LOL I can not imagine a school not having a silent alarm system! If Taco Bell can have one can’t the powers that be afford to keep the children and their place of learning safer. I honestly can not believe I didn’t see a thing. As I sit and type at this very moment, I am looking at the front door of the school and I notice everything going in and out, cars, kids on bikes, etc. I must have actually been having a legit ‘cat-nap’ at the time.

  23. nighthawk Says:

I have serious doubts about the “school system” being about education anymore.
Perhaps they just want us to think that they can’t afford an alarm.
If they can afford telemarketer tools (Telephone Alert) then surely they can afford an alarm.

  24. nighthawk Says:

Let me find that thread I’m looking for now…

  25. nighthawk Says:

I can’t find the thread with talk of setting up schools in the communities to save on fuel.
Anyone know where it is, or shall we start a new one?

  26. nighthawk Says:

I found it, finally… It’s buried so far down the chain that i suppose a new discussion is in order.
The discussion starts here (i think…)
But a new whole new article is in order I believe.

  27. nighthawk Says:

Don’t click that link above as it got modified in transit somehow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I’ll try and post it this way;
    http://rowanreview.com/2008/02/15/anything-3/#comment-9792

  28. nighthawk Says:

First words, then phone number, and a link has been modified before it made it here! What’s next?

  29. [(Required Voluntary Compliance)] Says:

The school boards of various counties and the bus drivers know the locations of their students. By using cluster maps it can be determined where to locate neigborhood multilevel grade moble home type facilities, using large construction(office) type trailers fitted to become classrooms. This could be done this(year) summer and eliminate most of the bus fuel bills. The monitors and drivers could choose to switch to grounds keepers, janitors, teachers aids and such at the multiple facilities to be located close enough to walk for the most number of current faculty and students. IF things change from one year to the next the mobile classrooms for say grades 1-6 could be moved. All the current grades schools and a few of the old ones with gyms could be middle and high schools.

For those that are too young or too far, say over 3miles (a hour walk or easy 20min. bike. at 9mph. minivans or smaller autos could be contracted to pick up the few that had know other way to get to school on a very limited basis.

Yes there would have to be a upper 377 school a Island Fork school a Holly Fork school, and a Cranston school with one or two classes perhaps at Tilden Hogge in with the Middle and High School students. THis may seem far fetched but as the tax base collapses with major economic down turn and fuel continues to rise the budgetary problems being talked about now will pale by comparison.

They have rainy day funds and lots of surplusses that could be used NOW as they might not be there later. This looks like a whole thread by itself.

“School Solutions for the What IF $6-10gallon fuel”.

IF schools (and churches) are sustained there is a chance to keep civilization from complete meltdown…

  30. Kat Says:

Just for the ‘log’, if through all these postings below are on the ’scanner scoop’ page I haven’t touched them. Just wanted you to know because I really don’t know what you’re talking about as far as words, then phone number then a link. Anyway, I was asked to change the phone number to the school but didn’t get around to it and someone else changed it, so at least it’s correct now.

  31. nighthawk Says:

They arrived on the site wrongly, in transport over the internet.
I know you haven’t touched anything here.

  32. nighthawk Says:

The reason you have to pay school taxes is simply because we have a greedy administration in my humble opinion. A bunch of people that We The People are paying to sit around and think up ways of squeezing more money out of us, or so it would seem to me.
I was about to suggest some ideas that have to do with this subject, BUT another thread
would be best perhaps, because this discussion is going to expand greatly into numerous
    thoughts and ideas.
Not that I agree with your positive opinions on population control.
But I DO agree with you about the taxes being perhaps wrongly proportioned.
I also agree that You haven’t touched or altered anything.

This School Break In that allegedly occurred is really the only thing we should be
discussing on the scanner scoop, I agree.

I might have to link back over here for reference from the new article I’m writing though.

  33. nighthawk Says:

On the alleged “break in” at Clearfield Elementary, I was told to call the Inspector General
if a Press Release stating damages and descriptions of stolen goods isn’t released to the
public via a press release in the local newspaper within the next 15 days.
