UPDATED:

Well I think it’d be rather insane to bus children out in these weather conditions, but the decisions will be left up to the school system.

UPDATE: APPARENTLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE OPEN ON SCHEDULE

Despite the Tornadic like activity which blew the roof off a barn on the ccc trail, sitting it in the road, downing trees & utility poles, snapping utility cables, turning a single wide mobile home on it’s top in the Farmers area, and in spite of the possibility of flooding…

The Rowan County School System decided to have school on regular schedule today.

If you ask me, I’ll still tell you that my opinion that busing children under these conditions is an act of insanity, so keep this in mind when you vote for your school board members.

Note: The radar graphic made better sense this morning when the storms and rain was still making it’s way here via a continuous south-eastern path.
