looks like MSU will have more parking for a while unless something else is going to be built there.

  2. kat Says:

You’re right Curt. MSU had been wanting Jerry’s for parking long before it burnt. I feel awful old to remember this but I remember when Jerry’s was a drive-in they would bring the food out to your car and hang it on the window with real metal trays, etc., and I use to bowl with the person tha gave birth to me before the bowling alley right behind Jerry’s also burnt. There’s nothing to point at any longer and say, “I remember when”. :-??

What hand did the certain thieves have in getting the arson investigation ruled undetermined? I have a source that says all the workers were ran out of there the night it burned without the usual cleanup routine and the investigators did not interview them all. Two certain former elected officials were left in the building and even a fire in the grill was still burning but that was supposed not to be the cause as it started reportedly in a janitors closet er something. Nice. ON youtube there is a video of the fire and someone posted a accusation against on e of the former workers, nice.

could it be the same crowd that got the insurance fraud investigation shutdown for the last mayor?

  5. Curious... Says:

So Greehill replaced Holbrook as mayor after Holobrook resigns/retires, but who replaced Greenhill?
And did Roe only serve as mayor for 2 years?
Who was mayor before Holbrook? anyone Remember???

  6. Curious... Says:

So I can remember these mayors and roughly the years they served.

    ?-87 Holbrook / Greenhill (interm)
    88-89 Roe
    90-93 Breeze
    94 Greenhill
    95 Greenhill / ? (interm)
    96-07 Collins

But When was Holbrook elected, and who was the mayor prior to him, and what term did that prior mayor serve(roughly)?

Who was appointed as interm mayor to replace Greenhill?

I suppose we’ll have to wait and see who is appointed to serve interm for Collins.

  7. kat Says:

Well, I did have video of the fire at Jerry’s that I sent to Channel 18 news but I’ve never been on YOUTUBE in my life. I have dial-up so I am assuming that I wouldn’t be able to watch anything anyway. How does one get high speed around here without going through the tv cable? Is that possible?

  8. Curious... Says:

I keep seeing things like “could it be the same crowd that got the insurance fraud investigation shutdown…” and have to ask if you are refering to subject matter of an article published in the Lexington Herald-Leader on August 24, 1995, Page B3, titled “INSURANCE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING MOREHEAD MAYOR FOR POLICY FRAUD” or an entirely other matter, or combination of matters. :-??

If this link works it will take you to google’s news archives. Scroll down to 1990s and click on the title named in my prior post. You can read some of the article for free.

IE is crashing again when I try and read this topic. Netscape is holding it’s own. I don’t know about firefox because it just won’t connect to the internet at all anymore.
Is anyone else having troubles with Internet Explorer crashing?
Not that anyone can answer me if they are… :)

The blue “e” was crashing on me until I signed in.

Some interesting information is starting to surface here. I wonder exactly how far back all of this bypass/curved main street business stems. It’s easy to capture the concept of the conspiracy “theory” here, but following the stem to the root is what I’d be more interested in. The likes of Collins, Breeze and Roe (if involved in a true conspiracy) are most likely pawns. Have to find the roots.

  12. pseudonomen Says:

    Curt, Kat,
It seems like I remember hearing talk of MSU wanting the Jerry’s site for a parking lot way back before the fire. I just can’t remember wheather it’s something I read in the paper or just something someone said in passing.

    Curious…,
I think that Collins served as the interm mayor replacing Greenhill.

    (required voluntary compliance),
Good to see you’re back. I was starting to worry that you had ventured out into the spraying fields and gotten yourself posioned by the same herbacide junk that ChimpAstro got into.

    BROWSER OBSERVATIONS
Advanced BROWSER & My updated version of Mozilla has only refused to use the smilies in my postings but works otherwise no problems for this site:
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7

I do have and have had problems with leavin especially Mozilla open for over a few hours, “memory leak” errors build up and it will stall out but that is not this site but overall.
If I have multiple openings of Mozilla sometimes one or more will disappear from my tool bar only to reappear if I start closing out from the tool bar OR by using the ctrl-alt delete task manager.

There are two issues, yes the insurance investigation from 1995 but the Fire Investigation from this was ruled undetermined and they did not interview all the workers who were told to leave without the usual clean up routine.

The simple conspiracy is money, but look across the street if that black marble obelisk ain’t spooky enuff to give ya a clue then look exactly in the middle of the middle slab on the south west side facing E.Main (corners appear compass point oriented.

There is a esoteric “13″ in the natural marble. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

If I had not by co-incidence had personal problems with the big UK sponsor Jefferson Pilot (and a relative had problems with Alstate and CHA health) I would probably have not paid any attention to these corruption cases:

I say fire all of them and start over the ones in there that aint corrupted aint stopping the ones that are.

This technology is now available in the Multi-technology Automated Reader Card (MARC), which is an example of a chip card, and in the Optical Memory Card, which is an example of a laser optical card. Both cards will increase the effectiveness of the Army’s overall logistics tracking capability.

The MARC is a portable, credit card-sized “smart card” capable of storing and updating personnel data on a particular service member or DOD employee. The MARC utilizes a magnetic stripe, a two-kilobyte (2KB) integrated circuit (IC) chip, and a bar code to update and store data. It holds printed information (including a digital photograph), embossed name and social security number. The combination of all of this makes the MARC card versatile. It can interface with a variety of technologies and systems, from imprinting machines to computer systems that use IC chips as data carriers.

  18. pseudonomen Says:

I apologize if this is posted elsewhere, but I’m cutting back towards the original discussion.

According to an article in the local paper, Councilman Perkins has been appointed to serve as interm mayor after Collins resigns. The appointment will be effective Dec. 10th.

An earlier article in the paper suggested that Collins “will resign and retire as of Nov. 30″.

So for those more educated in the city government than I; Does this mean that Morehead will operate without a mayor for the days between November 30th and December 10th?

I have also been reading that Collins, while acting as mayor of Morehead, has cast votes on issues, thus breaking tie votes. Somebody tried to undermine nighthawk’s postings last year by claiming that the mayor doesn’t have a vote on any issues. So keep it in mind that certain folks have been infultrating this site and lying to us in what appears to be an effort supress rational thinking.
Maybe we have a web cache somewhere, and if so, I will consider republishing parts of that discussion.

I don’t care what anybody says… Internet Explorer is still crashing on me when I try and read this discussion.

I know it has to be happening to others.
All of the other pages on this site are loading fine.

  20. pseudonomen Says:

Does anyone have any idea just how big the old site was?
I have been digging for hours looking for a post where someone said the mayor doesn’t vote on issues during council meetings, and I just can’t find it.

  21. nighthawk Says:

Yep, I know how big that database was, and Good Luck with that endeavor, large sections of it were deleted.

I do remember the discussion though, and the subject matter was Sunday Alcohol Sales, but I just don’t remember who it was who kept insisting that the mayor couldn’t vote–not even to break a tie.

  22. (required voluntary compliance) Says:

IF morehead is effectively operating with out a mayor there is likely charter provisions that could be taken advantage of in such a situation to shift stuff around by some mechanisms,…
“…unless if in the mayor’s absence council has the power to …” It would take more time and energy to research than I care to put into it as it does not really matter what the laws are if we are surrounded by cheats and liars and petty power brokers AND satanic/pagan/humanist puppeteers with there esoteric secret societies then they will be splitting hairs to take advantage of the “code” at every opportunity they can. Some of the worst are the ones that don’t know who they are really working for or care what is the christian thing to do but are trying to stay in power for their puppet masters or for their own ambitions.
Of course this gennerality could apply to any governing body, local, State/state or “general goverment” of the “several states”.

I have heard claims of quotes from our forbearer’s days that “our laws and constitutions are meant for a Christian people as a immoral people will not abide by them and will seek every opportunity to work around the commonlaw” errr some sentiment like that.

  23. (required voluntary compliance) Says:

Ran into this old thread after seeing the link to the past article on the home page. , The caption on the photo “collinsville” is unjustified as the last two in the building according to staff that evening was a x-mayor and x-jailer, collins was not there and had nothing to do with this event as far as any evidence available or known to exist goes. Of course some still talk about certain insurance investigations from 0ver 10yrs ago being shut down… why just the other day I was tawking with…

From Curious above: "I keep seeing things like “could it be the same crowd that got the insurance fraud investigation shutdown…” and have to ask if you are refering to subject matter of an article published in the Lexington Herald-Leader on August 24, 1995, Page B3, titled “INSURANCE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING MOREHEAD MAYOR FOR POLICY FRAUD” or an entirely other matter, or combination of matters. :-??

( That looks like reference to a J.Pilot Life Ins. Salesguy from when they were a candidate, and the investigation was announced as shut down about 3-weeks prior to the election from what I remember, that helped to boot out the "breezeway" mayor who perhaps wanted to leave anyway, and perhaps the click is just returning the favor since at the point of this possible arson there were some really big deals in the works to bring in some out of state entity and a criminal arson case could have not impressed this sweetheart deal or skuttled some of the negotiations with some bad press seen as harming the community )

SO "in the intrest of justice" the case was ruled "undetermined" and or sent to the "mountain demurrer"
