Charity Fair: Rowan County Christmas

Rowan County Christmas was established in 1993 by social service agencies, churches, organizations, and businesses committed to making Christmas special for Rowan County citizens in need. A nonprofit corporation was formed and a board of directors representing the various founding entities was named to oversee its operations.
Every year we have raised funds, identified families and seniors in need, and distributed food vouchers and gifts in December at the Carl Perkins Center. Families in need are encouraged to apply for the program from November 1st-30th at Christian Social Services, The Family Resource Center, Gateway Services or the Food Stamp Office. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you may mail it to: Rowan County Christmas, PO Box 1323, Morehead, KY 40351.
All Morehead area financial institutions will be acting as drop off locations for gifts through December 12th. For the Charity Parade, please drop off a gift valued approximately $15 for a boy or girl ages 0-18 or a gift for a senior citizen. You can drop your donation off between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at U.S. Bank on Main Street.
